What is Neon Keys?
Neon Keys is a glowing piano tiles rhythm game. Tiles fall down four neon lanes, and each tile you tap plays the next note of a famous melody, so you play the song yourself. Tap the lowest tile every time and never touch an empty lane. If a tile slips past the bottom, the music stops. The speed rises steadily and every finished song moves on to the next tune. All the songs are public-domain classics: Ode to Joy, Für Elise, Eine kleine Nachtmusik, the Can-Can, Morning Mood and Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. It is free to play online, right in your browser.
How to play Neon Keys
- Tap the START tile to begin the song.
- Always tap the lowest tile. Each one plays the next note of the melody.
- Tapping an empty lane or letting a tile fall off the screen ends the game.
Controls (desktop & mobile)

- D F J K — Lanes 1 to 4
On mobile, tap each glowing tile with your fingers. Using two thumbs works best. On desktop, click the tiles or use the D, F, J and K keys for the four lanes.
Tips & tricks
- Keep your eyes just above the bottom of the screen, not on the tiles at the top.
- On a keyboard, rest four fingers on D F J K like a real piano.
- Stay calm when the speed rises. A steady rhythm is better than rushing.
- Turn the sound up. The melody helps you keep time.
